DCTD is a voluntary management committee. DCTD has a variety of members drawn from stake-holders, service providers and the community. In 2019 DCTD were awarded funding of €122,805.00 from the Rural Development LEADER Programme 2014-2020. The delivery of this funding has been facilitated by Sligo Local Community Development Committee as the Local Action Group with responsibility for the delivery of the Programme within County Sligo.
DCTD are currently participating in a new Failte Ireland programme entitled: Digital that Delivers. In 2021 DCTD were awarded over €25,000 in funding towards building a bookable product – this included additional audio tour languages and information booklets as well as ongoing mentoring support from the DTD team.
In 2019 DCTD were Runners up in the Sligo Business Awards under the category of Environment and Heritage. A great achievement for the committee in its infancy.
